Title
Resolution relating to acceptance and funding of an Education & Outreach Services Support Grant.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Public Library to accept and fund an Education & Outreach Services Support Grant from the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation in the amount of $244,817. The purpose of the project is to assist Library Education & Outreach Services staff with implementation and administration of Foundation-funded programming initiatives.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation for the implementation and administration of Foundation-funded programming initiatives; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant from 07/01/23 to 06/01/26 would cost $244,817 of which $244,817 (100%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Milwaukee Public Library shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Section 304-81, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2023 Special Revenue--Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Education & Outreach Services Support Grant:
