Body
Whereas, On March 21, 2023, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 221725, directing the City Purchasing Director and any other officer, agent, agency, committee, board, or commission of the City to purchase, to the greatest extent practicable, low- or zero-emission vehicles with the intent of replacing City-owned vehicles with those that operate with cleaner, sustainable alternative fuels; and

Whereas, On June 20, 2023, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 221233, adopting the Climate and Equity Plan, amending the Citywide Policy Plan as part of Milwaukee’s Overall Comprehensive Plan, and directing its implementation; and

Whereas, The United States Department of Energy’s Office of State and Community Energy Programs has established an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program designed to assist local governments in implementing strategies to reduce energy use, to reduce fossil fuel emissions, and to improve energy efficiency; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, the proper City officials are authorized to accept up to $522,370 in Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funding from the United States Department of Energy; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2024 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects the following amount for the project titled:...
