Minutes note: The Following three items were taken together. DCD reported their opposition to the return of these items. City is owed rent monies from these. Appearing: Hannah Jahn Amy Turim Odalo Ohiku Tanz Rome Jim Klajbor Attys: David Halbrooks & Michael Maistelman Deputy Ohiku stated that there is an outstanding amount of $2,080.00 pending in municipal fees among these three properties. Delinquent taxes owed on these properties: File 221753 - $16,054.37 File 221751 - $11,915.73 File 221752 - $22,920.44 Ownership interest on 18 other properties with outstanding taxes close to $150,000.00 Deputy Ohiku stated that there is an outstanding amount of $2,080.00 pending in municipal fees among these three properties. Per City Atty, Jahn if committee were to recommend approval to return of these properties, ALL amount owed for ALL properties would have to be paid before return to prior owner. Based on Department's testimony and recommendations, Ald. Bauman moved denied of these three files.

This resolution authorizes the return of real estate located at 5403 N 35th Street, in the 1st Aldermanic District to its former owner, SCH Prop MGMT LLC applicaation made by SCH Prop MGT Attn: Atty David Halbrooks, under conditions imposed by s. 304-50 of the Code of Ordinances.
Body
Whereas, The property located at 5403 N 35th Street, previously owned by SCH Prop MGMT LLC applicaation made by SCH Prop MGT Attn: Atty David Halbrooks, has delinquent taxes for 2019-2022 and was foreclosed upon pursuant to Sec. 75.521, Wis. Stats., and a fee simple absolute was obtained in favor of the City of Milwaukee dated 1/18/2023 221753; and

Whereas, SCH Prop MGMT LLC applicaation made by SCH Prop MGT Attn: Atty David Halbrooks would like to reclaim said property by paying all City and County real estate taxes, plus accrued interest and penalties to date of payment, and all costs as sustained by the City in the foreclosing and management of said property since 1/18/2023; and

Whereas, SCH Prop MGMT LLC applicaation made by SCH Prop MGT Attn: Atty David Halbrooks has agreed to pay all related city charges up until the point that the property is returned, as well as all other charges, and conditions which are detailed in the letters submitted by the Department of Neighborhood Services, Department of City Development, the Health Department, the Treasurer’s Office, and the City Attorney’s Office, as though set forth in this resolution; now, therefore, be it
