Substitute resolution relative to the acceptance and funding of the Communicable Disease Prevention grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the Communicable Disease Prevention Grant project from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health in the amount of $28,800. The purpose of the project is increase trainings and competencies around communicable disease issues.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health for enhancing capabilities around STI strategic planning; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 07/01/18 to 6/30/19 would cost $28,800 entirely provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2018 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects fund the following amounts for the program titled Communicable Disease Prevention Grant:
