Analysis
This resolution amends a lease agreement with U.S. Cellular for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the Southside Health Center at 1640 S. 24th St., which was authorized by Common Council Resolution File Number 011232. This Amendment allows U.S. Cellular to upgrade the equipment is has in place at the Southside Health Center.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 011232 on January 22, 2002, approving an agreement with U.S. Cellular for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the Southside Health Center at 1640 S. 24th St.; and
Whereas, The Department of Administration, working with the City Attorney's Office, has negotiated an amendment to the lease agreement; and
Whereas, This amendment of the lease agreement between the City and U.S. Cellular for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the Southside Health Center at 1640 S. 24th St., allows U.S. Cellular to upgrade its facilities; and
Whereas, The lease agreement offers a fair market value to the City, protects other City interests, and is acceptable to all City participants; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves and amends the lease agreement, identified as the "First Amendment to Lease Agreement," between the City of Milwaukee and U.S. Cellular for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the Southside Health Center at 1640 S. 24th St., a copy of which is attached to this file, and authorizes the proper City officials to enter into this lease agreement on behalf of the City of Milwaukee.
