Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a revised project agreement for the improvement of North 91st Street/North Swan Road from West Hampton Avenue to West Flagg Avenue. This project is approved and included in the WisDOT’s current STP Urban Improvement Program. The City of Milwaukee is responsible for 20 percent of the preliminary engineering costs on this project in accordance with WisDOT policy. The estimated total cost of this project is $5,810,500, of which the City’s share is $1,562,100 and the grantor’s share is $4,248,400. The project scope changed from resurfacing to reconstruction, which resulted in an increase in costs. The total increase in preliminary engineering cost of this project is $215,500 of which the City’s share is $43,100 and grantor’s share is $172,400. The total increase in construction cost of this project is $1,860,000 of which the City’s share is $764,000 and grantor’s share is $1,096,000.
