Analysis

This resolution denies the appeal by Garden Homes Evangelical Lutheran Church of the interim historic designation of the property located at 4316-4322 N. 25^th St.

Body

Whereas, On May 23, 2011, in accordance with s.320-21-13(a) of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, the Historic Preservation Commission voted to impose interim historic designation on the property located at 4316-4322 N. 25^th St.; and

Whereas, The owner of the property, pursuant to s.320-21-13(f), Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, is entitled to appeal to the Common Council the Commission's decision to impose historic interim designation, and the owner filed a request for a hearing of this appeal in a timely manner; and

Whereas, The Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee reviewed the appeal at a June 28, 2011 meeting and, by a vote of 3-1, denied the appeal; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the May 23, 2011, decision of the Historic Preservation Commission to impose interim historic designation on the property located at 4316-4322 N. 25^th St. is affirmed.
