Analysis

This resolution approves the execution of an access easement agreement with Milwaukee County regarding a vehicular access at 1230 W. Cherry Street, in the 15th Aldermanic District.

 

Body

Whereas, Milwaukee County (the “County”) owns the parcel located at 1230 West Cherry Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53205 (the “Property”); and

 

Whereas, The Property lies between the public right of ways of North 12th Lane to its east and North 13th Street to its west; and

 

Whereas, The Property could serve as a public access point from North 12th Lane to North 13th Street; and

 

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee (“City”) has negotiated and agreed to the attached terms with County for an easement of ingress and egress on a non-exclusive basis in common with County over and across a portion of land on the Property for public vehicular access from North 12th Lane to North 13th Street; and

 

Whereas, The Office of the City Attorney has reviewed the proposed Easement Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the vehicular access easement agreement is hereby approved; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute the vehicular access easement agreement in substantial conformity to the agreement submitted alongside this file, and take other reasonable steps needed to execute the vehicular access easement agreement on behalf of the City of Milwaukee.
