Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a project agreement titled “Cost Sharing Memo of Understanding Between the City of Milwaukee and the City of West Allis” for the cost sharing of construction for W. Pierce St. in the 10th Aldermanic District with a City of Milwaukee share of $155,000.
Body
Whereas, the City of West Allis and the City of Milwaukee wish to address the pavement condition of W. Pierce St. between S. 76th St. and S. 77th St.; and

Whereas, This project is included in the Department of Public Works Local Paving Program; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and City of West Allis share jurisdiction ownership of the roadway and will share the construction costs; and

Whereas, The City of West Allis will be the lead agency for construction; and

Whereas; The City of West Allis, pending Council approval, has agreed to undertake the construction work with the City of West Allis paying for the portion within the City of West Allis limits for all construction expenses; and

Whereas; The City of Milwaukee and City of West Allis have agreed to the scope of work and retain all responsibilities to their roadways; and

Whereas; Any cost overruns and/or changes in scope shall be approved by the Department of Public Works and the City of West Allis with costs divided based on jurisdictional boundaries; and

Whereas, City of Milwaukee design oversight was approved in File Number 231463; and

Whereas, This project is programmed for construction in 2024; and

Whereas, The construction cost will be included in a future resolution; and...
