Whereas, On October 21, 2021, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 210894, relating to the allocation of the first tranche of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, of which $3,270,000 was allocated to the Office of Violence Prevention; and
Whereas, On July 28, 2022, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 220526, authorizing the Department of Administration to accept funds from a subaward from the State’s allocation of ARPA funds for the provision of a summer 2022 Earn and Learn Violence Prevention Program with Employ Milwaukee; and
Whereas, On September 1, 2022, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 220539, authorizing the Department of Administration to expend funds from a subaward from the State’s allocation of ARPA funds for the provision of a summer 2022 Earn and Learn Violence Prevention Program with Employ Milwaukee; and
Whereas, On April 18, 2023, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 221728, authorizing receipt of funds from the Milwaukee Public Schools for use in the Camp Rise Earn and Learn program; and
Whereas, On May 9, 2023, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 221957, using remaining funds from the 2022 State ARPA subaward for the 2023 Employ Milwaukee Camp Rise Earn and Learn program; and
