Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2023 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:
Health Department (Clinical Services Division; Community Health Division; Environmental Health Division; Policy, Innovation & Engagement Division), Library
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department, Community Health Division, Empowering Families of Milwaukee (EFM)”, delete one position of “Health Project Coordinator - EFM (E)(X)(Y)” and add one position of “Health Project Supervisor - EFM (E)(X)(Y)”.
Under “Clinical Services Division, Laboratory”, add footnote designation “(BBB)” to one position of “Bioinformatician (XX)(BB)(FF)”, one position of “Laboratory Data Specialist (D)(AA)(PP)”, one position of “Microbiologist-Senior (X)(BB)(PP)”, one position of “Program Assistant III (X)(AA)(PP)”; and add new footnote “(BBB)” to read as follows:
“(BBB) To expire 09/30/2023 unless the Covid-19 Phylodynamics grant is extended.”
Under “Policy, Innovation & Engagement Division, Community Health Planning and Coordination”, add footnote designation “(BBB)” to one position of “Epidemiologist (T)(X)(Y)(WW)” and add new footnote “(BBB)” to read as follows:
“(BBB) To expire 09/30/2023 unless the Covid-19 Phylodynamics grant is extended.”
Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Business Section”, add one position of “Program Assistant III (C)” and add footnote “(C)” to read as follows:
“(C) Position authority to expire 06/30/26 unless the Education & Outreach Services Support Grant, available from the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation, is extended.”
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 10, 2023 - April 30, 2023):
Under “Health Department, Community Health Division, Empowering Families of Milwaukee (EFM), delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (E)(X)(Y)” and add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (E)(X)(Y)”.
Under “Maternal & Child Health”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (G)(N)(X)”, add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (G) (N) (X)”, delete two positions of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (G) (O) (X)”, add two positions of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (G) (O) (X)”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (G) (X)”, and add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (G) (X)”.
Under “Clinical Services Division”, delete one position of “Public Health Nursing Director (Y)” and add one position of “Public Health Nursing Administrator (Y)”.
Under “Disease Control & Prevention”, delete two positions of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (X) (G) (P) (DD) (HH) (WW)”, add two positions of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (X) (G) (P) (DD) (HH) (WW)”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (X) (G) (P) (DD) (HH) (A)”, add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (X) (G) (P) (DD) (HH) (A)”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (X) (G) (DD) (HH)”, and add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (X) (G) (DD) (HH)”.
Under “Well Women Initiatives”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (G) (X) (GG) (JJ)” and add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (G) (X) (GG) (JJ)”.
Under “Environmental Health Division, Emergency Response Preparation”, delete one position of “Public Health Emergency Response Planning Director (A)(X)(Y)”, add one position of “Emergency Response Planning Director (A)(X)(Y)”, delete two positions of “Public Health Emergency Response Planning Coordinator (A)(P)(X)(Y)”, add two position of “Emergency Response Planning Coordinator (A)(P)(X)(Y)”, delete two positions of “Public Health Emergency Response Planning Coordinator (A)(X)(Y)”, and add two positions of “Emergency Response Planning Coordinator (A)(X)(Y)”.
Under “Home Environmental Health”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (G) (X) (TT)”, add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (G) (X) (TT)”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (G) (X) (TT) (Z)”, add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (G) (X) (TT) (Z)”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Coordinator (RG)”, and add one position of “Public Health Nurse - Senior (RG)”.
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 10, 2023 (April 30, 2023).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
