Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of West Silver Spring Drive at 6 Local Intersections. The revised total estimated cost of this project is $2,761,132.90 with a grantor share of $1,710,000 and a City share of $1,051,132.90.
Body
Whereas, A revised project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and construction of West Silver Spring Drive at 6 Local Intersections with State aid under the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Program; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be liable for any cost incurred by the State should the City decide to withdraw from the project; and

Whereas, Construction funds for the project were previously established in a separate resolution 221685; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute the agreement for the programming,...
