Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, to execute a $45,000 change order to the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District Green Solutions grant funding for the construction of bioswales with a revised maximum reimbursement amount of $160,000. The bioswales will be constructed in the service drive median of West Oklahoma Avenue between South 61st Street and South 72nd Street. The change order is necessary because the cost of the project has increased more than what was originally funded by the grant.

Whereas, Common Council File No 211875 authorized the City to enter into an agreement (Green Solutions Funding Agreement G98005P88) with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) to accept and fund a Green Solutions grant for the installation of bioswales in the service drive median of West Oklahoma Avenue between South 61st Street and South 72nd Street.; and

Whereas, Said File authorized expenditures of $115,000 in grantor share; and

Whereas, The total estimated construction cost of said bioswales on West Oklahoma Avenue is revised from $115,000 to $160,000 and can be funded in its entirety by grantor share; and

Whereas, MMSD has prepared a change order amending said agreement that it will provide a total of $160,000 in grantor funds; and

Whereas, Said change order will provide additional $45,000 in grantor funds; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to accept and execute a change order to the MMSD Green ...
