This resolution authorizes the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee to lease to Urban Ecology Center, Inc. a part of 400 South Layton Boulevard and a part of 500 South 33rd Court for a stewardship pavilion, in the 8th Aldermanic District.

Body

Whereas, The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (“RACM”) owns the properties at 400 South Layton Boulevard and 500 South 33rd Court (“Properties”) in the City of Milwaukee and the Urban Ecology Center, Inc. (“UEC”) wants to lease a portion of the Properties to construct a stewardship pavilion, at UEC expense, that RACM will own, and that UEC will use during the term of the lease for programming activity of UEC; and

 

Whereas, RACM and UEC negotiated the proposed lease that has been submitted to this file, and the RACM Board by RACM Resolution 10865 approved RACM entry into the lease subject to Common Council of the City of Milwaukee approval; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proposed lease that has been submitted to this file is approved, or one substantially in conformity therewith, and the appropriate RACM officials are authorized to enter into such lease.
