Analysis
This resolution authorizes an easement for construction on a City-owned property.
Body
Whereas, Milwaukee County is requesting a five foot wide Temporary Limited Easement (“TLE”) on the City-owned property at 531 North Hawley Road; and
Whereas, The TLE will facilitate construction of Milwaukee County’s Bus Rapid Transit Station Construction/Intersection Reconstruction along Hawley Road; and
Whereas, A copy of the TLE and related map is attached to this Common Council File; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee agrees to nominal payment of $300 and waives their right to an appraisal for the Easement; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development (“DCD”) and Department of Public Works has reviewed the TLE and recommends approval; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the TLE with Milwaukee County on the City-owned property at 531 North Hawley Road is approved and that the Commissioner of DCD, or designee, is authorized to execute the TLE and requisite closing documents; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the TLE proceeds shall be credited to DCD Easement Revenue.
