A substitute ordinance relating to the change in zoning from Parks, PK, to Industrial Light, IL1, for the eastern portion of 6081-ADJ North Hopkins Street, located on the west side of North Hopkins Street, south of West Woolworth Avenue, in the 9th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This zoning change was requested by the Milwaukee County Department of Transportation and will allow a portion of 6081-ADJ North Hopkins Street to be joined with 6270 North Hopkins Street, zoned IL1, to facilitate the construction of a new fleet garage.
Body
Resolved, That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, do ordain as follows:

Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances a new section to read as follows:

The zoning map is amended to change the zoning for the eastern portion of 6081-ADJ North Hopkins Street, Tax Key No. 157-9998-211, which is the western portion of Lot 1 of CSM DCD # 3279 from Parks (PK) to Industrial Light (IL1). Legal Description as follows:

Part of the northeast 1/4, the southeast 1/4, the northwest 1/4, and the southwest 1/4 and the vacated west 60 feet of North Hopkins Street adjoining in the northeast 1/4 of section 26, township 8 north, range 21 east, in the city of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin bounded and described as follows:

Commencing at the northeast corner of said 1/4 section, thence S 00°29'26" E 668.570 feet along the east line of said 1/4 section; thence S 87°26'09" W 230.930 feet to the intersection of centerline of North Hopkins Street and south line of the Union Pacific Railroad Co. right of way and the point of beginning of lands to be described; thence S 05°59'03" W 501.130 feet; thence S 82°10'49" W 239.193 feet; thence N 00°59'55" W 137.022 feet; thence N 32°33'01" W 199.379 feet; thence N 00°59'55" W 207.888 feet to the south or said railroad right of way; thence N 87°26'09" E 402.902 feet along said south line to the po...
