Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Fire Department to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entitled Use of DHS Mobile Medical Unit Resources to Support Response to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) between the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS)-Division of Public Health Office of Preparedness and Emergency Health Care and the City of Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD). This MOU establishes the terms under which the MFD will utilize the resources contained in the DHS Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). To support first responders and other personnel who will be deployed during the DNC, the MFD seeks to use tents and other resources that are part of the MMU. These resources will assist with personnel staging and rehabilitation at key points around the convention activities.

Whereas, The Milwaukee Fire Department has identified resources owned by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services-Division of Public Health Office of Preparedness and Emergency Health Care that is available to use for the DNC to support first responders and other personnel who will be deployed during the DNC; and
Whereas, it is the departments desire to enter into the Memorandum of Understanding to authorize the use of the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), including, but not limited to, tents, trailers, durable medical equipment, and consumable supplies, as mutually agreed to by the parties, and there shall be no payment for use of equipment; and
