Title
Resolution approving a Land Disposition Report for the property at 207 East Florida Street, in the 12th Aldermanic District.

Analysis
This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee to convey 207 East Florida Street according to the conditions in a Land Disposition Report.

Body
Whereas, MWM, LLC (the “Buyer”) offered to purchase the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (“Authority”) owned property at 207 East Florida Street (the “Property”) in order to create better truck access for the Buyer’s adjacent facility at 600 South Jake Marchese Way; and

Whereas, The Property is a remnant of the Florida Yards Industrial Park development and is a long, irregularly shaped parcel that includes a railroad spur track; and

Whereas, The Buyer entered into an Agreement for Partial Release of Easements with Union Pacific Railroad Company to release the spur track easement; and

Whereas, On September 19, 2019, at an Authority Board hearing, the Authority Board considered the Land Disposition Report, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council file and the Offer to Purchase that the Buyer submitted to the Authority, which Offer requires the Buyer to remove the spur track within the Property and within East Florida Street; and

Whereas, The Board authorized the Authority to enter into the Offer to Purchase with the Buyer for the Property, based on that Land Disposition Report, and directed the Authority Executive Director to submit the Land Disposition Report to the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that, per Wis. Stat. 66.1333, including 66.1333 (9)(a)1.d., the Common Council approves the Land Disposition Report and the Authority’s conveyance of the Property to the Buyer in accordance with that report and with the Offer approved by the Authority.
