Analysis
This ordinance creates an exempted area encompassing the 10th Aldermanic District which permits vehicles parked in areas already designated as exempt from alternate side parking regulations to be parked for 48 hours in the same location rather than 24 hours, except when the department of public works announces snow-plowing operations or other public works operations are underway. Vehicles parked in the exempted area are also prohibited, per existing ordinance, from parking in the exempted area from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day during a DPW-announced public works operation rather than 2:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m.

The exempted area boundary, beginning at the south terminus of N. 44th Street, extends north to Interstate 94, east to N. 35th St., north to W. Wisconsin Ave., west to Menomonee River, northwest along the railroad right-of-way to W. Highland Blvd., west to W. Vliet St., west to Wisconsin Hwy 175, north to W. Washington Blvd., west to N. 47th St., north to W. Lloyd St., west to N. 51st St., north to W. Burleigh St., west to N. 53rd St., north to W. Concordia Ave., west to N. 54th St., north to W. Keefe Ave., west to N. 60th St., north to W. Melvina St., west to N. 67th St., north to W. Capitol Dr., west to N.76th St. and south to the city limits and continuing along the city limits to the point of beginning.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 101-27-1-a-2-i of the code is created to read:

101-27. All Night Parking.
