Analysis
This resolution approves the work-plan for the Milwaukee Public Schools Career Plus Coordinators component of the City’s Compete Milwaukee 2016 program. This work- plan consists of a Memorandum of Understanding between MPS and Employ Milwaukee, Inc., the Career Plus program description and the Career Plus Logic Model.

Whereas, On March 1, 2016, the Common Council adopted File Number 151082, a resolution expressing support for the $1.8 million Compete Milwaukee 2016 program and approving various agreements relating to that program; and

Whereas, Exhibit A of File Number 151082 includes an “Agreement Between the City of Milwaukee and Employ Milwaukee for Career Plus Coordinators”; and

Whereas, That Agreement provides as follows:

“The City shall provide to Employ Milwaukee an amount not to exceed $120,000 for 2 Career Plus Coordinators to provide a level of service to 2 schools in the Milwaukee Public School System, as further detailed in the Career Plus Program Description attached as Exhibit A. Details of the arrangement shall be further detailed in a Memorandum of Understanding to be executed between MPS and Employ Milwaukee.”

Whereas, File Number 151082 requires that, prior to execution of this Agreement, Employ Milwaukee shall provide a report to the Common Council and seek approval for the Milwaukee Public Schools Career Plus Coordinators work-plan; and

Whereas, The attached Memorandum of Understanding between MPS and Employ Milwaukee, Inc., and the attached document labeled “Employ Milwaukee Work Plan” constitute the Milwaukee Public Schools Career Plus Coordinators work-plan; now, therefore, be it
