Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works and the Comptroller to execute the State Municipal Agreement for construction alterations on Milwaukee Water Works, City Underground Conduit, City of Milwaukee-Sanitary Sewer, City of Milwaukee Street Lighting, and City of Milwaukee-Signal facilities in conjunction with the I-43 bridge rehabilitation contract from Howard Avenue to the Valley Bridge. Total estimated cost of $37,396,000, with an estimated grantor share of $37,377,500 and an estimated City share of $18,500.

Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has scheduled the rehabilitation of several bridges over I-43 between Howard Avenue and the Valley Bridge in portions of the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has scheduled the I-43 bridge rehabilitation contract from Howard Avenue to the Valley Bridge to be constructed in the summer of 2014 until the fall of 2015; and

Whereas, The I-43 bridge rehabilitation contract from Howard Avenue to the Valley Bridge will include rehabilitation of bridges over I-43 at West Howard Avenue, South Chase Avenue, West Lincoln Avenue, West Maple Street, West Mitchell Street, West Lapham Boulevard, West Greenfield Avenue, and West Becher Street and various other miscellaneous construction from Howard Avenue to the Valley Bridge in the City of Milwaukee; and
