Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a project agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming and construction of a connecting highway project with Federal and State Aid. This project is included in the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s current Connecting Highway program for improvement. The City is responsible for 25 percent of the preliminary engineering costs on the project in accordance with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s policy. City cost for the construction of the project is dependent upon parking allowed. The estimated total cost of this project is $2,026,000, of which the City’s share is $139,000 and the grantor’s share is $1,887,000. The total estimated preliminary engineering cost for this project is $176,000, of which the City’s share is $44,000. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering for this project.
