Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a revised project agreement for the resurfacing of Silver Spring Drive from North 68th Street North 27th Street to include Federally Earmarked funds for streetscaping items in the portion of the project between North 43rd Street and North 68th Street and to authorize and direct the City Comptroller to create the necessary subaccounts, and or transfer the necessary funds to pay the City of Milwaukee’s local share of the streetscaping item through the Business Improvement District funding set up by the Department of City Development. Total estimated cost for West Silver Spring Drive from North 68th Street to North 27th Street is $4,441,054. The City’s share is $888,211. The total estimated cost for streetscaping from North 43rd Street to North 68th Street is $108,935 and the City’s share is $21,787 which will be funded by the BID.
