Analysis
This resolution amends Resolution File Number 021112, adopted on December 20, 2002, relating to application, acceptance and funding of a Click It-Why Risk It 2002/2003 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Safety, for the enforcement of safety belt/safety seat usage, and speeding and driving-impaired enforcement. This resolution extends the project period by 3 months until 07/30/03, with an additional funding of $5,000 made available by the grantor.

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 021112 on December 20, 2002, relating to application, acceptance and funding of a Click It-Why Risk It 2002/2003 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Safety, for the enforcement of safety belt/safety seat usage, and speeding and driving-impaired enforcement; and
Whereas, Under said resolution, the operation of the grant would cost $11,613, with a City share of $3,613 and a grantor share of $8,000 for the period 11/01/02 to 04/30/03; and
Whereas, Additional funding is now available from the grantor in the amount of $5,000 to extend the project period until 07/30/03; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Resolution File Number 021112, adopted on December 20, 2002, is amended by:
1. Deleting the second "whereas" clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"Whereas, The operation of the grant from 11/01/02 to 07/30/03 would cost $16,613, of which $3,613 (22%) would be provided by the City, and $13,000 (78%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it".
