This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a project agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming and construction of West Burnham Street from South 43rd Street to South 31st Street with Federal/State Aid. Portions of this project lie in Milwaukee and the Village of West Milwaukee. The agreement provides 80 percent Federal/State funds. The total project cost is estimated to be $2,270,000.00 of which the local share is estimated to be approximately $454,000.00. The City's share of preliminary engineering costs for the proposed improvements are estimated to be $43,900 (or 87.8% of the local share). This resolution also authorizes and directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds and establish project/grant fields for the preliminary engineering work. This resolution also authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to negotiate an agreement with the Village of West Milwaukee for their participation in the West Burnham Street project.

Whereas, Preliminary approval has been requested and received for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) along with a Project Agreement to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming and construction of West Burnham Street from South 43rd Street to South 31st Street with Federal/State Aid;
