Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works and the Comptroller to execute the State Municipal Agreement for construction alterations on Milwaukee Water Works and City Underground Conduit facilities in conjunction with the Zoo Interchange’s Glenview Avenue contract. Total estimated cost of 5,645,175, with an estimated grantor share of $5,614,755 and an estimated City share of $30,420.

Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) has scheduled the rehabilitation of the Zoo Interchange in the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The WISDOT has scheduled the Zoo Interchange’s Glenview Avenue contract to be constructed in the spring and summer of 2013 in advance of the Zoo Interchange mainline reconstruction; and

Whereas, The Glenview Avenue Contract will include geometric reconfigurations and reconstruction of North Glenview Avenue from a point approximately 1000 feet south of West Blue Mound Road to a point approximately 180 feet north of West Wisconsin Avenue, including West Wisconsin Avenue from a point approximately 200 feet west of North Glenview Avenue to a point approximately 200 feet east of North Glenview Avenue and West Blue Mound Road from a point approximately 300 feet west of North Glenview Avenue to a point approximately 800 feet east of North Glenview Avenue; and

Whereas, Alterations to Milwaukee Water Works and City Underground Conduit facilities necessitated by the Zoo Interchange’s Glenview Avenue contract; and
