Analysis
This resolution would approve an Amendment to Lease Agreement with Michels Corporation for an additional 3.75 acres of land located on the Port’s Grand Trunk Site.
Body
Whereas, The City and the Tenant have entered into a Lease Agreement dated July 26, 2016 (“Lease Agreement”) for the lease of the Port’s South Harbor Tract referred to as the Grand Trunk site; and
Whereas, The Amendment to Lease Agreement will include an additional 3.75 acres of bare ground property located at the Port’s grand Trunk Site for use of a dockside reception and load out facility for common construction aggregate materials. The lease term will run concurrent with the Lease agreement dated July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2021; and
Whereas, The Board of Harbor of Harbor Commissioners at its meeting of December 8, 2016 acted by vote of the Board to grant such Amendment to Lease Agreement for an additional 3.75 acres located at the Port’s Grand Trunk Site under the same terms and conditions; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves the Amendment to Lease Agreement with Michels Corporation and the City of Milwaukee, by and through its Board of Harbor Commissioners; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the designated officers of said government and said Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement to carry out this purpose.
