Whereas, The Common Council adopted Common Council File Number 221872, renewing the sister city relationship between the City of Milwaukee and Irpin, Ukraine, on May 5, 2023; and
Whereas, The resolution specified that local support for the relationship would be provided by the nonprofit organization Friends of Be an Angel Inc.; and
Whereas, A second organization, Wisconsin Ukrainians, Inc., is able and willing to provide additional assistance to the relationship; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the second to last whereas clause in Common Council File Number 221872 is amended by inserting the phrase “and the nonprofit Wisconsin Ukrainians, Inc.” immediately following the phrase “Friends of Be an Angel Inc.”.
