Title

Resolution approving the Land Disposition Report and authorizing the sales of Redevelopment Authority-owned properties located at 220 East Florida Street, 300 East Florida Street and 310 East Florida Street to the adjoining owners, in the 12th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes the sales of said Redevelopment Authority-owned properties according to the conditions in the Land Disposition Report.

Body

Whereas, By realignment of East Florida Street, remnant unbuildable land remains at 220 East Florida Street, 300 East Florida Street and 310 East Florida Street (the “Properties”) owned by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (“RACM”); and

 

Whereas, On June 15, 2017, RACM held a Public Hearing on the proposed sales as required by Wisconsin Statutes; and

 

Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, RACM submits a Land Disposition Report, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, describing the terms and conditions of the proposed conveyances; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Land Disposition Report dated June 15, 2017 is approved and RACM is authorized to convey said Properties to the adjoining owners consistent with the Land Disposition Report; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the RACM Chair, the Commissioner of DCD, or designee, are authorized to sign the Offers to Purchase, deeds and requisite closing documents to close the transactions and take such actions, as may be needed, to effectuate the terms of the Land Disposition Report and this resolution; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the proceeds from the sales shall be credited to the appropriate RACM account.
