Whereas, Section 200-61 of the Code of Ordinances provides for review, by an architectural review board, of all applications for new construction and exterior modifications to buildings, structures and sites in a designated architectural review district prior to issuance of permits by the Department of Neighborhood Services; and
Whereas, Section 200-61 further provides that an architectural review board, in conducting such review, shall use design guidelines adopted by the Common Council; and
Whereas, On September 25, 1990, the Common Council adopted File Number 881344, a resolution approving design guidelines to be used by the Architectural Review Board of the Historic Third Ward Architectural Review District; and
Whereas, Section 200-61 also requires Common Council approval of amendments to the design guidelines; and
Whereas, The Historic Third Ward Architectural Review Board has recommended approval of the attached design guidelines amendment relating to vestibules exterior to facades; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the design guidelines for the Historic Third Ward Architectural Review District are amended to include the attached two-page document relating to vestibules exterior to facades.
