Title
Substitute resolution authorizing the Department of Employee Relations (DER) to extend the current contract with Froedtert Workforce Health (WFH) and execute a five month extension for the City of Milwaukee’s comprehensive wellness program and onsite clinic services.

Analysis
This resolution approves a five month extension of the current contract to provide wellness programing and onsite clinic services for City of Milwaukee employees and spouses/partners. The City’s comprehensive wellness program includes the 3-Step Health Appraisal Process, the outcomes based Healthy Rewards program, the wellness center, year round coaching, access to registered dieticians and a multitude of other programs and services. WFH also oversees and staffs the City’s onsite Workplace Clinic and Early Intervention Physical Therapy Clinic.

Whereas, Common Council File Number 141815 authorized a contract extension with Froedtert Workforce Health from March 15, 2015 through July 31, 2017 to provide the City’s Wellness Programming and Onsite Clinic services; and

Whereas, The extension will allow the City’s wellness program to proceed without a mid-year break in programming which would disrupt the timeframe for several key initiatives and services including the 3-Step Health Appraisal process; and

Whereas, The extra time will allow the DER in conjunction with Willis Towers Watson and the Wellness and Prevention Labor Management Committee to execute a Request for Proposal process for the City’s wellness program and onsite clinic services; and

Whereas, The City has been satisfied with the services provided by Froedtert Workforce Health; and

Whereas, Froedtert Workforce Health has agreed that the fees will remain unchanged throughout the term of the contract; now, therefore, be it
