Title
Resolution approving the Land Disposition Report for the Redevelopment Authority properties at 3104 and 3120 North Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive for conveyance to the City of Milwaukee for assemblage with the adjoining City-owned property, in the 6th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority to convey land according to the conditions in a Land Disposition Report.
Body
Whereas, The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (“Authority”) acquired the properties at 3104 and 3120 North Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and vacated a portion of the adjoining street to carry out the goals in the West Auer-North Green Bay Redevelopment Plan by removing blighting influences and fostering redevelopment; and
Whereas, The adjoining commercial building at 3116 North Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive was recently acquired by the City of Milwaukee (“City”) through tax foreclosure and assemblage of the three properties under the common ownership of the City would optimize redevelopment potential; and
Whereas, On June 13, 2013, the Authority held a Public Hearing on the proposed conveyance as required by Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, the Authority submits herewith a Land Disposition Report describing the terms and conditions of the proposed conveyance; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Land Disposition Report dated June 13, 2013, with respect to the proposed conveyance of the following properties to the City is approved:

West Auer Avenue/North Green Bay Avenue
PARCEL ADDRESSES
3104 and 3120 North Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive
