This resolution implements a provision of the 2007 adopted city budget relating to expenditure of a portion of funds in the Capital Improvements Budget by Department of Public Works (DPW) for Sanitation Headquarters Modifications - Various Sites, which includes the modification of the South 35th Street Facility. The resolution requires, prior to release of funds for the modification of the South 35th Street Facility, that DPW submit a plan for Common Council review and approval.

Whereas, The 2007 adopted city budget provides $2,260,500 in the DPW’s capital budget for Sanitation Headquarters Modifications - Various Sites, including the modification of the South 35th Street Facility to allow the consolidation of Sanitation and Forestry operations at the site; and
Whereas, By amendment and footnote to the 2007 adopted city budget, the Common Council wishes to ensure that these modifications for the South 35th Street Facility are designed efficiently and within budget; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that release of funds for the modification of the South 35th Street Facility is contingent upon approval by the Common Council of a plan for that specific facility submitted by DPW.
