Title:
Resolution authorizing acceptance of additional funding for the Intergovernmental Agreement between Milwaukee County by the Department of Health and Human Services Behavioral Health Division and the Milwaukee Police Department.
Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept additional funds for the Intergovernmental Agreement between Milwaukee County by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Behavioral Health Division (BHD) and the Milwaukee Police Department, in the amount of $187,500, which was originally entered into on June 12, 2013 for a grant total of $375,000.
Body:
Whereas, The Milwaukee Police Department entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Milwaukee County, authorized pursuant to Common Council File No. 130047 on June 12, 2013; and
Whereas, The parties entered into extensions to that agreement extending the term through December 31, 2015; and
Whereas, Grant funding for the period through 12/31/15 was $187,500; and
Whereas, Additional funding of $187,500 has been provided by the Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health Division; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Police Department is authorized to accept the additional funding without further approval unless its terms change as indicated in Section 304-81, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to increase the current agreement budget by $187,500 for a grant total of $375,000; and, be it
Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted for the Milwaukee Police Department which is authorized to:
1. Expend from the amount budgeted for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date.
