The project was approved in November 2014 and the certificate was extended in November 2015. The applicant has a tenant lined up to occupy the building and a COA was issued for a handicap lift as staff approval. Staff recommends extension of the mothball certificate Luis Vardosa - 503 W. Lincoln Ave. - they submitted the documents to DNS for the handicap lift and the tenant will then occupy. Ms. Pieper Brown moved for a six-month extension, seconded by Ald. Bauman. 11/9/2015	0	HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION	ADOPTED; Minutes note: The applicant is asking for an extension of his certificate. HPC staff noted that some progress has been made, but more work needs to be done and, in general, work is progresssing on the project. At this time, staff is willing to extend to six months. David Pachefsky - owner More progress has been made since the pictures were taken. He hopes to finish adding siding as soon as possible to get heating in before the winter. All of the siding was approved by Commission staff. Larry Pachefsky - said it will be finished within a month and the siding will soon be up. Keating Kahn moved, seconded by Mr. Jarosz, to extend the certificate for six motns.	Pass	4:0
11/10/2014	0	HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION	ADOPTED; Minutes note: Mr. Jakubovich spoke on this matter. This building was originally owned by Bradley Tech High School, across the street, as a shop class, but was then sold. The wall along the alley was rebulit by students using cream city brick. The exterior has been left completely bare. The mothball certificate would give the owner more time to work on the building without getting building code citations from the city. The building was built in 1875. The goal is to rebuild the front as accurately as possible, with some changes to the rear and front to meet the interior. The mothball is being asked for one year. Larry Pachefsky, 526 W. National Ave., here for his son, the building owner. It was built by same architect who built City Hall. The siding was removed prior to his son's purchase by the school students. The house has a new roof, but it is not weathertight on the sides. Mr. Hoeschen replaced by Ms. Keating Kahn, who voted in favor of this item.	Pass	6:0
