Analysis
This ordinance authorizes the common council president to represent the interests of any aldermanic district that has an aldermanic vacancy in the matter of certain licensing matters relating to issuing new food dealer licenses, objections to self-service laundries, objections to filling stations, notice of hearing upon council member request, objections to licensing of licensed dwelling facilities, provisional renewals, temporary public entertainment premises permits, temporary changes of plan, and special class b permits.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 301-5 of the code is created to read:
301-5. Unrepresented Aldermanic Districts. For certain licensing matters within the purview of the local council member, the president of the common council may represent the interests of any aldermanic district that has a vacancy, until such time as the vacancy is filled. Those matters are ss. 68-23-2, 75-1-11, 84-45-11, 85-2.5, 85-20, 85-39, 90-4.7, 108-5.5, and 275-20-10.
