Analysis

This resolutions directs all City of Milwaukee departments to study the feasibility of making all their resources available on the MKE Mobile Action App.

Body

Whereas, The City’s website indicates, “[r]esidents can use MKE Mobile Action App to locate, photograph, and provide supporting information to ensure speedy resolution of issues”, such as abandoned vehicles, graffiti, litter, and potholes; and

 

Whereas, City departments produce a large volume of resources and reports containing information that may help residents resolve issues efficiently, as well as monitor local government operations effectively; and

 

Whereas, By making their resources and reports available on the MKE Mobile Action App, City departments can help Milwaukee residents access information in order to resolve issues efficiently and monitor local government operations effectively; and

 

Whereas, The 2025 Budget was adopted by Common Council File Number 240001 on November 8, 2024; and

 

Whereas, Amendment 46 placed a footnote in the 2025 Budget, “directing [City departments] to study the feasibility of having all department resources and reports available on the MKE Mobile Action app”; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that all City departments are directed to study the feasibility of making all their resources and reports available on the MKE Mobile Action app; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That all departments are directed to report their feasibility study results to the Common Council within 90 days of this resolution’s adoption.
