Analysis
This resolution extends the Active Streets for Businesses program until November 15, 2023. The program was created by Common Council File Number 200198, modified by Common Council File Number 200859 and later extended by Common Council File Numbers 210406, 211093, 211617, and 221045.
Body
Whereas, On June 16, 2020, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 200198, which approved the Active Streets for Businesses program; and

Whereas, On November 4, 2020, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 200859, which amended Resolution File Number 200198 by updating the program with fall and winter guidelines provided by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, On March 2, 2021, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 201406, which extended the program until November 15, 2021; and

Whereas, On November 23, 2021, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 211093, which extended the program until March 15, 2022; and

Whereas, On March 1, 2022, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 211617, which extended the program until November 15, 2022; and

Whereas, On November 22, 2022, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 221045, which extended the program to March 15, 2023; and

Whereas, The Active Streets for Businesses program was instrumental in allowing businesses to function safely during the COVID-19 pandemic; and

Whereas, As economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic continues, many businesses continue to be reliant on the additional outdoor seating and accommodations provided by the Active Streets for Businesses program; now, therefore, be it
