This resolution declares the MKELove Summer Kickback to be an official city event. It rescinds $3,666 in funding previously allocated to Leaders Igniting Transformation - Building Voices from the MKE Community Excellence Fund, and reallocates that funding to the MKELove Summer Kickback event.
Body
Whereas, The purpose of the MKE Community Excellence Fund Special Purpose Account is to provide resources to support community events that promote peace and violence prevention; and
Whereas, Project Kindred, Inc., a local organization dedicated to serving the City’s youth, will be holding the MKELove Summer Kickback this year on June 13 in Kosciuszko Park; and
Whereas, The MKELove Summer Kickback will provide resources to engage and empower youth throughout the city; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the MKELove Summer Kickback is declared to be an official City event; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council - City Clerk’s Office is authorized to accept and expend contributions for this purpose; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish special accounts within the Common Council - City Clerk’s Budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Clerk’s authority to expend up to $3,666 for the Leaders Igniting Transformation - Building Voices event under Common Council File Number 252107 is rescinded; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Clerk is directed to expend up to $3,666 from the MKE Community Excellence Fund Special Purpose Account (0001 1310 S246 006300) for payment or reimbursement of expense...
