Title
Resolution approving a data sharing agreement between the Milwaukee Fire Department and the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management through December 31, 2036.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD) to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) pursuant to which OEM will share data with MFD for a 10-year period for the purposes of day-to-day operations, as further detailed in the MOU.

Whereas, OEM is engaged in activities including the medical oversight and quality control functions of MFDs EMS system; and
Whereas, MFD performs certain operations including the collection of incident data in order to conduct analysis, integrate data, and perform other Health Care Operations; and
Whereas, OEM agrees to disclose a defined Data Set to MFD for use by MFD in operations and related activities; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that that the attached MOU between the City of Milwaukee and County of Milwaukee, a copy of which is attached to this file or a version substantively similar, and subject to such changes as the City Attorney may approve in negotiation with the County, is approved and the Fire Chief is authorized and directed to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.
