Title

An ordinance relating to the width of sidewalk areas, roadways, and center plots of various streets in the city.

Analysis

This ordinance repeals a portion of an ordinance passed in 1970 to establish the width of sidewalk areas, roadways, and center plots of various streets in the city. The repealed provision is no longer relevant due to a street realignment that occurred after 1970. This ordinance also repeals the ordinance which established the name of West Hinman Street.

Body

Whereas, On January 24, 1967, the Common Council passed File Number 66-2905, an ordinance which established the name of West Hinman Street; and

Whereas, On April 8, 1970, the Common Council passed File Number 69-2843, an ordinance to establish the width of sidewalk areas, roadways and center plots of various streets in the city, including West Hinman Street from West St. Paul Avenue to West Clybourn Street; and

Whereas, Due to subsequent reconfiguration of the alignment of North 6^th Street, neither File Number 66-2905 nor this provision of File Number 69-2843 is still relevant; now, therefore

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Common Council File Number 66-2905 is repealed.

Part 2.  Part H-1 of Section 1 of Common Council File Number 69-2843 is repealed.
