Analysis
This ordinance adds 2 members to the emerging youth achievement advisory council, for a total of 13 members. The additional members shall both be representatives of Milwaukee’s youth: a current or former member of the youth council and a representative of a youth-serving organization. Both additional members shall be appointed by the common council president.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 320-29-3-a-0 of the code is amended to read:
320-29. Emerging Youth Achievement Advisory Council.
3. COMPOSITION.
a. The council shall be composed of the following [[11]] >>13<< members, each of whom shall be subject to confirmation by the common council:
Part 2. Section 320-29-3-a-12 of the code is created to read:
a-12. Two representatives of Milwaukee’s youth:
a-12-a. One current or former member of the city of Milwaukee youth council, appointed by the common council president.
a-12-b. One representative of a youth-serving organization, appointed by the common council president.
Part 3. Section 320-29-4-c of the code is created to read:
4. TERM OF OFFICE.
c. Maximum Number. Each youth member appointed under sub. 3-a-12 may be appointed for a maximum of 2 terms.
