Analysis
This ordinance provides that, in residential zoning districts, (freestanding) satellite dishes, like other types of (freestanding) mechanical equipment, shall be permitted only in portions of side yards and rear yards outside required setback areas.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 295-505-3-L-1 of the code is amended to read:
295-505. Design Standards.
3. ACCESSORY STRUCTURE STANDARDS.
L. Mechanical Equipment
L-1. Permitted Equipment. Mechanical equipment such as, but not limited to, air-conditioning condensers >>, satellite dishes<< and utility boxes shall be permitted >>only<< in portions of side yards and rear yards outside required setback areas. Air conditioning condensers may also be placed in the required setback areas of [[a]] principal [[building]] >>buildings<< to the extent allowed by table 295-505-2-f.
