Zamarripa said that she is thrilled and that they have been working together with other agencies and neighbors to create a large green space for the students and neighbors. Analysis

This Resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an Out-of-Program Agreement with the Milwaukee Board of School Directors (MPS) for public water main improvements on South 24^th Street, as necessary to convert nearby street space into a pedestrian mall.

Body

Whereas, MPS operates and manages the City-owned property located at 3430 W. Rogers Street, and wishes to facilitate the conversion of adjoining street space into a pedestrian mall; and

Whereas, MPS has requested an agreement to allow the City, at MPS’s expense, to relocate the water main and fire hydrants, and replace lead lateral lines on South 24^th Street adjoining the 2404 West Rogers Street property; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Out-of-Program Agreement attached to this file is hereby approved and the proper City officers are hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to accept funds from MPS as outlined in the Out-of-Program Agreement for the purpose of designing, constructing, and installing the public water main improvements; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to make minor changes to the Out-of-Program Agreement prior to its execution.
