Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a revised project agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for programming and construction of North Teutonia Avenue from West Ruby Street to West Villard Avenue with 80 percent Federal and/or State aid under the Surface Transportation Program. The revised agreement adds construction, real estate, railroad work and traffic control costs to be undertaken with 80 percent Federal and/or State funds. An agreement for preliminary engineering work was executed in 1996. The total estimated cost for the project is $3,285,000 of which the City's share is $657,000.

Whereas, A project agreement was executed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the City of Milwaukee for the preliminary engineering work for the improvement of North Teutonia Avenue from West Ruby Street to West Villard Avenue in accordance with Common Council Resolution File Number 951218, adopted on December 19, 1995; and

Whereas, Preliminary engineering activities have begun; and

Whereas, A revised project agreement, adding the construction, real estate, railroad work and traffic control phases of the project to the previously approved preliminary engineering funding has been received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the North Teutonia Avenue project; and

Whereas, Estimated costs of all phases of this project are as indicated in the revised project agreement;...
