Title

Resolution authorizing granting a Permanent Limited Easement to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for a portion of the  City-owned property at 690 South 70th Street for the South 70^th Street Bridge Replacement Project, in the 10th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution permits the City of Milwaukee to grant a permanent limited easement for a bridge replacement project.

Body

Whereas, The Department of Public Works (DPW) is undertaking a bridge improvement project to replace the structure on South 70^th Street over the Hank Aaron State Trail and needs to acquire easement rights at the southern end of the structure; and

Whereas, Lands needed for the improvements are owned by the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, the permanent limited easement of 0.151 acres of the site is necessary for construction and future maintenance of the structure wing walls; and

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of the Department of City Development, or designee, is authorized to execute the easement, and other documents necessary to grant the temporary limited easement to the State of Wisconsin, and to take such further acts as are or may be necessary to effectuate this resolution.
