Analysis

This ordinance creates deputies in the departments of community wellness and safety and of compliance and engagement.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. Section 345-3 of the code is created to read:

 

345-3. Deputy Director. The community wellness and safety director may appoint a deputy, for whose acts he or she shall be responsible. Such deputy, after taking the oath of office required to be taken by his or her principal, may perform all the duties imposed by law or the ordinances of the city, on said principal; and shall likewise be subject to the same liabilities and penalties.

 

Part 2. Section 385-4 of the code is created to read:

 

385-4. Deputy Director. The compliance and engagement director may appoint a deputy, for whose acts he or she shall be responsible. Such deputy, after taking the oath of office required to be taken by his or her principal, may perform all the duties imposed by law or the ordinances of the city, on said principal; and shall likewise be subject to the same liabilities and penalties.
