   2. Report out on meeting with Common Council President Perez

Minutes note: Kerksick and Moore-Omokunde reported out on positive June meeting with President Perez. He is supportive of the Task Force efforts, and agreed it is important to appoint a new co-chair to replace former Ald. Kovac, who resigned to become City Budget Director. We went through an update from the ECO office. Because the Council is without its full complement of alderpersons, he needs to wait to appoint the new co-chair. We will check back over the summer.

   4. Prepare for meeting with Supervisor Coggs-Jones

Minutes note: Supervisor Coggs-Jones is now co-chair representing the County and welcomes the opportunity to learn more about where things are with the Task Force proposals. Meeting is scheduled for next week. Most of our efforts have been at city level to date. It is now top priority to get the Ten Big Ideas in front of one or more County committees. Flanders (citizen volunteer on Wauwatosa's Sustainability efforts) suggested that we also reach out to individual municipalities to gauge interest and support. We should build off City's investments with suburbs/municipalities outside Milwaukee. Believes that some of them would welcome the chance to learn more about what others are doing (apart from City of Milwaukee). Meeting adjourned at 12:20 p.m. Minutes provided by Chair Kerksick.
