| | 4. | | Education and Outreach – guest Jennifer Evans, CoChair E&O Work group.
• Review E&O process
• All WSC Work Group members are encouraged to record their responses to the video: https://www.videoask.com/f4u9gs2q5
Minutes note: Jennifer Evans, CoChair of the Education and Outreach Work Group, presented slides illustrating the process the E&O Work Group is using to reach the general public regarding the Climate and Equity Plan. That WG is to oversee public engagement, grow public support for a climate action plan, and convey activities of the Task Force along with the multiple work groups. The City will be hiring a communications intern to help with the work. Evans is meeting with all the work groups to convey the message of the work and to recruit help. A “climate talk” video has been produced and the public can record their answers to four questions as a means to provide input to the plan and illustrate stories. A “Kickoff” event is being planned. Further communications will detail how this work group can help with the education and outreach.

| | 5. | | Review and Discussion of Preliminary Concept Note on Litter
Minutes note: Zimmerman did a slide presentation of the “Litter Abatement” PCN. The slides are in the Google Drive under our Work Group, in the “Litter” folder. A written description of the concept is also there. Zimmerman acknowledged this activity would not help cut greenhouse gas emissions, but built a strong case for doing it anyway. It can create jobs and has other benefits, such as increasing recycled materials, keeping trash out of our waterways, is an entry to other environmental challenges, and a means for neighborhoods to work collectively on something successful. It builds on other organizations and activities. The proposal includes 8 recommendations. Among the comments by our work group: public trash cans are needed in the city.

| | 6. | | Review and Discussion of Preliminary Concept Note on Organic Waste
Minutes note: Due to technical difficulties, there was not time to view and discuss the Organic Waste PCN. This will be first on the agenda at the next meeting.
During discussion of resolving the technical difficulties, Keleske suggested that when the meeting is set up in Zoom, a cohost be designated along with an “Alternative Host”. An Alternative Host has all the privileges of a cohost but can also start the meeting (which co-hosts cannot.)
