   2. Review green tariff options from other utilities

Minutes note: • Goal of today: when thinking about DRER, get an understanding of how it compares to Madison/MG&E green tariff program vs. Milwaukee/WE Energies • Two green tariffs before Gov. Evers was elected o Solar Now - leasing land for WE to install solar (capped at 35MW) • Each individual customer up to 2.5MW o DRER - not funded by rate payers • Virtual PPA ? New energy bill with: • Cost to build project • Revenues: Wholesale value of solar and cost of entry • Fixed amount set at time of agreement signing • Excess production(not consumed) benefits rate payers(WE Energies) • Next Steps on DRER o Appreciate the program was created, gives MKE a pathway to 25% renewables(15MW) o Consider asking WEC to use pre-pandemic demand as a baseline o Keep pushing for energy efficiency in buildings • 130-150MW in DRER with city of MKE being about 15MW • Writing a letter to WE energies for modification of DRER o Group vote: Approved
